(From a Coach Hire Sales Consultant and Bride-to-be)
Planning a wedding is both stressful and magical. There are many things to consider, so when it comes to arranging transport for your big day, you want it to be as quick and easy as possible. Below I provide some examples of how coach, bus or mini-bus hire can help your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. As an expert in coach transport and a newfound wedding planner, I hope this provides inspiration and clarity when it comes to organising transport for your wedding.
All wedding planners have a budget to work to. By the pure nature of a coach, with its many seats, it can prove most useful, and cost effective, when moving lots of people. It’s your choice how you use the vehicle, where it goes, what time it arrives and how long it stays. Coaches also vary in size, seat capacity and specification, so there are plenty of options to suit your wedding party and budget. Personally, I’ve found that using a coach or bus makes for a more joined up wedding and an enjoyable experience for the guests who can travel together.
Home pick-up and drop-off for guests
Offering transport for guests to and from your wedding provides a hassle-free journey and it guarantees everyone will arrive on time! You don’t have to worry about parking at the venue, taxi availability or guests getting lost as they make their own way. The coach can pick-up at multiple locations to suit all your family and friends. Smaller vehicles such as mini-buses or people carriers can be used to access smaller residential areas where the coach cannot go. Guests can also relax, have a drink and enjoy the celebrations knowing that their transport home is sorted.
Travel between the ceremony and reception venues
If your ceremony and reception are at two different venues, arranging transport between the two can help the day flow smoothly. Ceremonies can be hard to time, and you and your guests don’t want to feel rushed knowing that the taxi is waiting with the meter running! A hired vehicle can arrive at any time (even at the start of the ceremony) and the driver will be happy to wait patiently, on site or near the venue, until your party is ready to move on to the reception.
Hopefully this provides some food for thought on how to plan travel for your big day. If you need advice, my Private Hire Consultants and I am here to help you with your wedding transport.
