Dinosaur Isle Museum
Dinosaur Isle, a brand-new interactive museum which conserves and displays over 1,000 rich geological fossil collections. Exhibitions reveal the fossils of the Island in a walk back through time, from the Ice Age, right back to the Cretaceous period when dinosaurs lived. The large dinosaur gallery has exciting displays including real fossils, skeletal and life-sized re-constructions and two animatronic dinosaurs. Clever lighting, artwork, sound, smells and animatronic technology create an exciting experience. We return to the hotel for a traditional Christmas dinner followed by live entertainment.
Today we visit Osborne House, Osborne reflects Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's passions, tastes and style. Ornate furnishings and artefacts from The Royal Collection fill rooms and corridors where Victoria entertained heads of state, inventors, princess and princesses and ruled the vast British Empire. "It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot" said Queen Victoria of Osborne House, her palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight. We return to the hotel to get ready for dinner and another night of live entertainment.
Please note: Due to winter opening times, entrance is to the Ground Floor House and grounds only.
Scenic Drive & Warner Bembridge Coast Hotel Afternoon Tea
This morning we take a drive around the Isle of Wight before enjoying an Afternoon Tea at Warner Leisure Bembridge Hotel. Once owned by George V's Lord in Waiting, Bembridge Coast Hotel overlooks the Solent. And the late Queen Mother came here to watch the yachts racing during Cowes Week.
Today we say goodbye and return by ferry home.
