Tour Itinerary
Day 1

We journey to Wales, arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2

Carmarthen & Tenby
After breakfast, we travel to Carmarthen. The oldest continually occupied town in Wales, with Roman origins and legendary connections to Merlin. Here you can discover more about Carmarthen's fascinating history at the Carmarthenshire County Museum, or walk the history trail taking in the site of the Roman amphitheatre and the elegant Regency houses. Alternatively, you may wish a more contemporary visit to the shopping centres, or simply relax and enjoy a break at the many eateries.

In the afternoon, we travel to the harbour town of Tenby, with its old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches. Tenby is South West Wales's main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. After time exploring and taking in the stunning views, we then travel back to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3

Cardiff & Cardiff Castle
After breakfast, we head to Cardiff Castle where we discover almost 2,000 years of incredible history. Here you can climb the mighty Norman Keep, admire the Castle Apartments, discover the Roman Wall remains and marvel at the intricate Chariot Corner mural. Or perhaps explore the Firing Line military museum, experience the Wartime Shelters or enjoy a scenic stroll along three sides of the Castle's outer defences called the Battlement Walk.

Afterwards we have the afternoon at leisure to explore the capital city of Wales, perhaps visiting one of the many attractions available such as the National Museum, the Millennium Stadium or a cruise on Cardiff Bay. Cardiff is one of the top ten shopping destinations in Britain. As well as the high street shops, in the Castle Quarter of the city there are six Victorian arcades. These are historic structures full of vintage clothes stores, craft shops and coffee shops, offering an intimate environment for shoppers who enjoy an alternative to the well-trodden path of the high street.

Day 4

Gower & The Royal Mint
This morning we travel to the Gower Heritage Centre where we start our day with a guided tour of the 12th century water mill before embarking on a tour of beautiful Gower. Our drive includes all the scenic viewpoints, including spectacular Rhossili Bay, Mumbles and the iconic Three Cliffs Bay.

In the afternoon, we travel to the town of Llantrisant, the headquarters for The Royal Mint where 1,000 years of history have been put into combining the finest craftsmanship with cutting-edge techniques to make coins and medals for over 60 countries. Go behind the scenes to follow the journey of a coin, from a blank to a bank. Enjoy a guided factory experience and a self-guided interactive exhibition - as well as a scrumptious scone or cake of the day with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee. We then make our way back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 5

Bath & Home
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head to elegant, honey-coloured Bath for a short visit. Overflowing with museums, galleries, independent shops and eateries, there are, of course, the iconic sights to see too. Immerse yourself in a tour of the ancient Roman Baths or stroll along the Royal Crescent and majestic Circus. Enjoy the views from Poultney Bridge or visit the magnificent Assembly Rooms, where the Fashion Museum is housed. We then continue our journey home.
