3* Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa, Bolton
This unique hotel enjoys excellent views of the West Pennine Moors. A combination of modern accommodation and historic charm of a former 18th century village with a pub and gift shop.
The Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa started life as a cluster of farm buildings which date back to the 17th century, originally known as Orrell Fold.
The name was created as Mr Walker was celebrating the finishing touches on the restaurant. His friends offered him the last drop of a bottle of wine to mark the occasion.
That was back in 1964. Today, The Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa is a unique and friendly four-star destination with a host of prestigious awards under its belt.

Today, in the beating rural heart of Lancashire, we step back in time for a nostalgic trip on a steam train along the East Lancashire Railway. Our voyage takes us through the beautiful Lancashire countryside to the market town of Bury on an unforgettable journey. In the afternoon, we enjoy a colourful visit to RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford. This beautiful newly opened garden was designed by world famous landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith. This morning we embark on a spellbinding guided tour to discover the chilling story of the infamous Pendle Witches, the most famous witch trials in English history. The Pendle Witch Experience brings their history to life as we retrace their steps throughout this wild and unspoilt area which has changed little in 400 years.
In the afternoon we visit Samlesbury Hall - a fabulous half-timbered black and white medieval house built in 1325 as a family home. A costumed tour guide will bring hundreds of years of history to life in this bewitching visit.
After breakfast, we make our way home.
