Snowdrops at Emmetts Garden
Charming Emmetts Garden is an Edwardian estate that was owned by Frederic Lubbock, becoming both a plantsman's passion and a much-loved family home. The garden was laid out in the late 19th century and was influenced by William Robinson. It contains many exotic and rare trees and shrubs from across the world. Standing on one of the highest spots in Kent, Emmetts Garden offers panoramic views over the unspoilt Weald.
Snowdrops at Hever Castle & Gardens
Hever Castle is Anne Boleyn's childhood home, with around 80,000 snowdrop bulbs have been planted in the Gardens over the past few years including a mix of single and double snowdrops, interspersed with some unusual varieties such as the yellow tipped 'Wendy's Gold', a giant galanthus called 'Colossus' which at 9 inches is one of the tallest snowdrops you can find and Galanthus 'Green Brush' with its unusual green tipped flowers.
After breakfast, we make our way home.
