After our collection from home, we meet the coach and head to the Best Western Carlton Hotel Blackpool. Where we are greeted with a welcome tea/coffee before dinner is served.
We spend today at leisure in Blackpool. Stroll around splendid Stanley Park, along the promenade and piers or ride along the promenade on one of the famous trams. In the afternoon we meet our tour escort at Blackpool Tower to take our seats in the Tower Ballroom for an afternoon tea and dancing.
This morning, we travel to Windermere and Lakeside Pier from where we enjoy a return lake cruise to Bowness. Sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning views of mountain scenery, secluded bays and wooded islands from our pleasure boat steamer, with commentary on the history, attractions and points of interest surrounding Windermere. We disembark and spend time at leisure in Bowness before returning on our steamer to Lakeside pier.
We spend today at leisure in the classic Victorian seaside resort of Southport, enjoying the beautiful sandy beaches and Grade II Listed iron pier, the second longest in the country. Enjoy a ride on the pier tram to the pier pavilion and visit King's Gardens in the centre of Southport, with its Victorian shelters, Venetian bridge and Lakeside café.
Time for one last cooked breakfast at the hotel before we depart and begin the journey home.
