Day 2

Elgar Birthplace Museum & River Severn Cruise
Today, we head to Worcester to visit the Elgar Birthplace Museum and delve into the life and loves of this prominent English composer. We have time to explore the city further, with its magnificent cathedral, medieval townhouse, famous Porcelain, Tudor House and The Commandery, which dates back to the 13th century. Finally, we 'step aboard' for a view of the city from a different perspective - a boat cruise!

Day 3

Severn Valley Railway
Enjoy a memorable Severn Valley Railway steam train journey through the rolling hills of Worcestershire, and over Victoria Bridge, which featured in the famous film 'The Thirty-Nine Steps'. We hop off the train at Bridgnorth, which is actually two towns, High Town and Low Town, connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. Returning back to the coach, we stop in Bewdley and picturesque Stourport-on-Severn, with its historic canal basins and riverside walks.

Day 4

Ludlow & Hereford
Today we head to Ludlow, a historic market town surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. We have free time to explore and enjoy lunch before we travel to Hereford and admire the magnificent Cathedral. Take time to stroll around the city and explore the interesting alleyways and side streets before we drive through the Malvern Hills and return to the hotel.

Day 5

We depart after breakfast and return to the local area.
