Tour Itinerary
Day 1

Travel to board our ferry to Cherbourg and journey to our hotel.

Day 2

Fromage, Gardens & Calvados
This morning we visit the Fromagerie Graindorge for an audio guided tour of the cheese factory to discover the unique way the Livarot and Pont l'Eveque cheeses are produced, followed by a tasting of four of the delicious cheeses. Then we travel to the beautiful themed Jardins du Pays d'Auge, which cover 4 acres set around picturesque half-timbered 16th century farm buildings. Afterwards, we have a guided tour of Chateau du Breuil Calvados distillery, discovering the slow process of transforming apples into calvados, and we enjoy a tasting accompanied with a tasty Norman apple tart!

Day 3

Honfleur
Today we travel to the charming port town of Honfleur whose beauty has long attracted artists whose work can be seen in the town's museums and art galleries. We can explore the old harbour in the heart of the port, surrounded by distinctive high, narrow, timbered-framed and slate-clad houses. Honfleur is famous for its seafood and our day at leisure is the perfect opportunity to sample some freshly caught fish at one of the many restaurants.

Day 4

Château de Vendeuvre & Lisieux
This morning, we will visit the 18th century Château de Vendeuvre, one of the most beautiful castles in Normandy. Following our guided tour of the château and gardens, we enjoy a traditional 4 course Normandy lunch with a glass of wine overlooking the gardens. In the afternoon we return to Lisieux where we can explore this beautiful town of pilgrimage at our leisure.

Day 5

We make our way back to the ferry in Caen for our sailing home.
