Day 1

After a morning collection we travel to the hotel arriving in time for dinner.

Day 2

Suffolk Coast
Today we enjoy a tour along the picturesque Suffolk coast, starting with a visit to Southwold, complete with its famous painted beach huts and lovely pier, before continuing to the pretty village of Thorpeness, with its pretty mock Tudor houses and the fairytale 'House in the Clouds'. We enjoy free time here for lunch before continuing to Aldeburgh, which retains features from a bygone era.

Day 3

Sutton Hoo & Boat Cruise along the River Deben
Today, we enjoy a guided tour at the world famous Anglo Saxon burial site of Sutton Hoo, the hauntingly beautiful 255 acre estate which is home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. We discover the story of the ship burial of an Anglo Saxon king, explore the award winning exhibition and the full-size reconstruction of the burial chamber (please note, the walk to the burial mounds is a 10-15 minute outdoor walk on flat grounds) In the afternoon, we make our way to Waldringfield where we enjoy a cruise with tea/coffee and scones along the river Deben, one of the most beautiful and scenic spots on the east coast

Day 4

Helmingham Hall Gardens & Kentwell Hall
This morning, we enjoy a visit to Helmingham Hall Gardens, there is time to explore the stunning gardens before we sit down to enjoy a ploughman's lunch. In the afternoon, we explore the romantic, moated, red brick Tudor mansion of Kentwell Hall. Set in a tranquil parkland setting the house and extensive gardens are a joy to explore.

Day 5

We travel back to the local area for your return home.
