Relax in one of the many beauty spots by the river, or take the opportunity for a spot of shopping.

Day 3

Imperial War Museum & Audley End House and Gardens
Our destination this morning is the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Britain's best-preserved World War II airfield. Explore the fascinating landmark achievements made in aviation history, incorporated in a series of museums and exhibitions, including the 1940's Operations Room, AirSpace (featuring 30 iconic aircraft including the Spitfire and Concorde), and The Battle of Britain Exhibition (RAF Duxford's pivotal role) to name but a few.
This afternoon we explore the spacious grounds and estate of Audley End, discovering the ins and outs of Victorian life in a country house. Take in the fresh air as you explore the colourful and varied gardens created by 'Capability' Brown. Marvel at the formal, beautifully restored parterre and cloud hedge, before admiring flowering plants, delectable fruits and colourful vegetables in the organic kitchen garden. Wander through the idyllic woodland and stumble across the peaceful Elysian Garden, complete with a cascading stream and climbing roses.
