The historic, award-winning Best Western Swan Hotel in Wells could not be more centrally located or have a more dramatic view, located directly opposite Wells Cathedral. Parts of the hotel date back to 1422 and over the years, the hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and extended, offering modern amenities in a beautiful setting. All 46 bedrooms are furnished in an elegant, traditional style and there is an elegant yet modern bar, a comfortable lounge with a warming log fire, a beautiful wood panelled restaurant, a terrace which has unrestricted views over Cathedral Green and Wells Cathedral, and a Walled Garden Café for al fresco dining during the summer months. Owing to the historic nature of the building, there is no lift but there are three ground floor rooms located in the adjoining Coach House.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1

We travel to Wells and enjoy Cream Tea in the Cathedral followed by Evensong in the Cathedral. We then make our way to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2

Clarks Village Shopping Outlet & Glastonbury
Enjoy time shopping at Street, home to the Clarks Village Shopping Outlet. With a vast selection of shops selling famous brands at discounted prices, you're sure to bag a bargain! On our way back to the hotel, weather permitting we take a break in Glastonbury. Glastonbury is known for its ancient and medieval sites, many rich in myth. It is possibly the quirkiest town in England, steeped in history, myth and the smell of incense.

Day 3

After breakfast, we make our way home.
