We head for one of the best preserved in medieval towns in Spain, Besalú. Full to the brim with character, with its cobbled streets, ancient facades of impressive architecture representing Romanesque, Gothic and medieval influences and its magnificent Viejo Bridge. Later, we go to the historic city of Girona, where the beautiful Roman walled old quarter (Força Vella) is dominated by the 11th century baroque cathedral tower. Located within the Força Vella is the remarkable Jewish Quarter with its labyrinth of narrow, picturesque medieval streets and passageways.
