Tour Itinerary
Day 1

We head north into Scotland for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Travel Day
Explore Dumfries & Galloway before boarding the ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick on the Isle of Arran, our base for 3 nights.

Day 3

Isle of Arran drive & Whisky Distillery tour
It's easy to see why the Isle of Arran is often referred to as 'Scotland in Miniature', with its constantly changing landscape of highland glens and rugged mountains alongside sweeping sandy bays and picturesque coastal villages. Enjoy a scenic circular drive around the island and visit Lamlash, with views to Holy Island and Lochranza, home to a 16th century castle and the Isle of Arran Whisky Distillery where we take a tour to learn the art of whisky making and sample a dram of the finished product.

Day 4

Brodick Castle & Gardens
We discover Brodick today, the island's capital, and its 19th century castle which houses a collection of paintings, porcelain and furniture. Dramatically set against the backdrop of Goat Fell Mountain, the grand castle has stunning views over Brodick Bay to the Firth of Clyde. The grounds range from landscaped gardens to woodland trails, there's plenty to explore.

Day 5

Travel Day
We head for the ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig and travel to the picturesque harbour village of Tarbert, a popular yachting destination which still has its own fishing fleet. With wonderful views over Loch Fyne, we head north into Argyll, and if time allows head across the 'Atlantic Bridge' to Seil Island, before continuing to our next hotel for our 3-night stay.

Day 6

We catch the ferry to Craignure on Mull, before continuing via Glen More to Fionnphort, to board as foot passengers for the short crossing to the tranquil Island of Iona. Discover its Abbey (admission not included) and the burial place of Scottish Kings. Although a tiny island, Iona is full of history and heritage.

Day 7

Enjoy a free day to explore the coastal resort of Oban, known as the 'Gateway to the Isles' and the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland', with its many award-winning restaurants. Why not stroll along the Esplanade, visit McCaig's Tower which overlooks the town, enjoy a wee dram at the distillery or visit the War & Peace Museum.

Day 8

Travel Day
Enjoy a relaxing drive through the glorious Argyll scenery, with possible stops in Inverarary and at the picturesque setting of Loch Lomond, before continuing through Scotland to our final overnight stay at the Hallmark Hotel Carlisle.

Day 9

It's time to head for home.
