There's even hand-written song lyrics from Adele, the original statues from the Brits and the Apple Corp front door from Saville Row. The afternoon is yours to explore the sights of Liverpool. Perhaps visit the transformed Albert Dock, Tate Liverpool, the Mersey Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story Exhibition or the Cavern Club.
Day 3
Port Sunlight Museum & Garden Village
This morning, we visit Port Sunlight, the village that William Hesketh Lever built for his Sunlight Soap factory workers in 1888. Here, we meet our step-on guide for a tour around the village garden, after which we visit the Port Sunlight Museum where the displays explore how the village developed, from the working conditions to the charming architecture and lively social scene. The museum is packed with nostalgia, from vintage soap packaging to the story Ringo Starr's first performance with the Beatles, which took place in Port Sunlight in 1962. Through film shows, interactives, models and an array of intriguing artefacts you can discover the tale of this inspirational village.
