Tour Itinerary
Day 1

We journey to York in our VIP coach and arrive at the 5* The Grand York Hotel. This stunning hotel opened following the extensive refurbishment of the former North Eastern Railway headquarters - one of York's most iconic Edwardian buildings. Stylish, luxurious and comfortable, The Grand has many fine facilities for the discerning of guests.

Day 2

Cookery School
We begin this morning with an outstanding cookery experience. The Grand's state-of-the-art cookery school offers a variety of courses designed for everyone from aspiring chefs to novices - ideal for learning a little extra about fine cuisine.

The half-day class lasts three hours and will give you the opportunity to create one dish from the menu and enjoy a demonstration of an additional dish by the chef tutor, before sitting down to enjoy them both with a glass of wine or soft drink. Tea and coffee breaks are provided throughout the session with tasty treats alongside.

In the afternoon you will have time to relax. You may like to explore the hotel's leisure facilities such as the 14-metre swimming pool, spa whirlpool, aromatic steam room, Nordic dry sauna - or work off your lunch at the gym. Alternatively, you may just want to sit in the hotel's lounge or 1906 Bar and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 3

Full day in York
Today we enjoy a full day in York. With 2,000 years of history combined with bustling shopping streets and numerous award-winning attractions, no other city offers such charm and beauty.

The day is yours to explore at your leisure. We recommend the Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum, York Minster, Yorkshire Museum and gardens, York Dungeon, York Wax Works and the National Railway Museum - home of the largest collection of steam locomotives in the country, including the world-famous Mallard.

Day 4

We depart and make our way home.

Please Note: As the cookery school is limited in numbers, some guests will have a full day in York on Day 2 and the cookery school on Day 3.
