Tour around the Yorkshire Dales
Enjoy a tour through the towns and villages surrounding the Yorkshire Dales National Park. First, drive to Leyburn, at the eastern end of Wensleydale, for a break before continuing along the dale through lovely rural landscapes to Hawes. Stop here for lunch and have time to explore the many attractions - the Wensleydale Creamery, Ropemakers, Dales Museum and Wensleydale Pottery. Next, travel over the moors to Ribblehead, with the magnificent 24 arch viaduct which carries the Settle/Carlisle Railway. Continue the tour through Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Settle and across Blubberhouse Moor to Harrogate on the return to the hotel.
A Leisure Day in Scarborough
A full day at leisure in Scarborough, as popular now as it was in Victorian times. Walk along the elegant esplanade and through the fine gardens to the magnificent Scarborough Spa, home to a varied programme of entertainment. Visit the bustling seafront or take one of the cliff lifts to the town centre and enjoy the wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes.
Pickering, Hutton-le-Hole & Hemsley
Today we take a leisurely drive along the edge of the North York Moors National Park calling in at the historic market town of Pickering, the charming village of Hutton-le-Hole and unspoilt Hemsley. We head back to the hotel for a festive lunch and mince pie.
We depart after breakfast and make our way south with usual comfort stops en-route.Br
