Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! Combine two popular seaside resorts this summer. Discover the history of Hastings, famed for its battle in 1066 and lively Brighton, with its many attractions from the Victorian promenade to the i360, a giant viewing pod which glides gently to 450ft for views for miles. Top it off with a tasting at vineyard in the Sussex countryside.

Battle Abbey & Pashley Manor Gardens
This morning, we visit historic Battle Abbey where we enjoy an audio guided tour of the Abbey ruins, stand on the very spot where the armies of King Harold and William the Conqueror clashed at the Battle of Hastings and discover the Victorian walled garden, visitor centre and Abbey Gatehouse. We spend the afternoon at the sumptuous award-winning Pashley Manor Gardens. The abundant Kitchen Garden supplies fresh herbs, salads and vegetables to the Garden Room Cafe. Other features include a mid-Victorian greenhouse, Rose Walk, terrace, fountain, ponds, herbaceous borders and woodland. The garden offers colour and interest throughout the year and magnificent views from the terrace to Brightling Beacon and across the Sussex countryside
We spend today in vibrant Brighton where there are plenty of attractions for you to explore, including the stunning Victorian Brighton Pier, the historic Brighton Bandstand, Madeira Lift, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, the dazzlingly exotic Royal Pavilion, the i360 and, last but not least, Brighton beach! (not included).
Carr Taylor Vineyard & Hastings
This morning, we enjoy a tutored tour and tasting at the Carr Taylor Vineyard, set in the beautiful east Sussex countryside, after which we spend the afternoon in Hastings historic Old Town. We make our way home in the evening.
