Evesham Blossom Trail
Today we will we meet our local guide in Evesham for a 2-hour tour of the fabulous Blossom Trail. We start at the tiny town of Pershore, famous for the Pershore Yellow Egg Plum, before continuing through Fladbury & the Lenches before finishing with free time to explore the beautiful market town of Evesham.
Cheltenham and the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway
This morning, we have free time to explore the beautiful spa town of Cheltenham, renowned for its Regency architecture, stylish shopping, colourful parks and floral displays. In the afternoon we board the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway for a return journey to Toddington where there is plenty to see including vehicle exhibits, a have-a-go signal box and locomotive yard viewing area, shop, museum and large tea room. The line commands wonderful views of the villages and the Malvern Hills along the way. See the magnificent Stanway Viaduct and travel through the dark and mysterious Greet tunnel (look out for the ghost!).
Tewksbury & Gloucester
Today we will explore the medieval town of Tewkesbury with its picturesque riverside setting. You may wish to visit 'Out of the Hat', an exquisite example of a 17th century home and shop that now houses a heritage centre - or take a stroll along Church Street, lined with a half-timbered houses and punctuated with Tewkesbury's famous alleyways. Later, enjoy free time in the beautiful city of Gloucester to wander around Gloucester's medieval Cathedral, used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, or visit the Victorian docks and explore the award-winning Gloucester Waterways Museum (entrance not included) overlooking the River Severn.
