In the afternoon, we visit historic Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum and Village. Set in rural Wiltshire, the village is famous for its picturesque streets and historic buildings and is a popular TV and filming location. The Abbey is located at the heart of the village and houses the Fox Talbot Museum, which celebrates the achievements of former Lacock resident, William Fox Talbot, famous for his contributions to the invention of photography.

This morning, we head for Cheltenham Race Course from where we enjoy a gentle journey on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, through glorious Cotswold countryside to Toddington, where there is a shop, museum and large tea room. In the afternoon, we visit the historic Cotswold village of Broadway or elegant Stow-on-the-Wold, before heading back to our hotel via the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water and the town of Burford.
Please note, GWSR events are held on some weekends, when the railway will be extra busy.
