Lake Garda is the largest and most popular of the Italian lakes with a Mediterranean climate and atmosphere. The landscape changes constantly from steep mountains and olive groves in the north to rolling hills and vineyards in the south. Limone sul Garda is a beautiful lakeside town on the northwestern shore where the scent of citrus from the lemon trees fills the air, and provides an excellent base for our excursions. There are spectacular views across to Mount Baldo and the centre has an eclectic mix of shops, bars and cafes and a pleasant promenade.
