During your time on St Mary’s, enjoy an introductory guide to the island with a local coach operator. Get an insight into life on the largest island in the archipelago. During your free time, you may like to spend a day exploring Hugh Town, the Island’s capital. Situated between two beaches, it is home to a variety of shops, arts and craft galleries and restaurants. Why not enjoy a stroll along the Garrison Walls high above the town or simply relax on the beach? Alternatively, you could take a boat trip to the Island of Tresco to visit Abbey Garden, home to over 20,000 exotic species of plants, a variety of which cannot be grown anywhere else in Britain.
