Apprentice PCV Mechanic

Lucketts Travel is the largest coach operator on the South Coast and operates a mixed fleet vehicles carrying out general Private Hire, Contract work and National Express diagrams. Our purpose built engineering facility is based in Fareham and is second to none in the area.

We are currently recruiting an Apprentice PSV Mechanic to join our engineering team.

You will be expected to carry out minor vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement under the supervision of the Senior Mechanic, whilst fully complying with all relevant Engineering and Health & Safety legislation and to learn and develop skills to obtain a qualification as a fully skilled craftsman.

The successful candidate should have three GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above and possess an interest in developing skills in motor mechanics.

You will be expected to attend relevant training courses and college days which may involve being away from home.

You will be expected to adhere to the Health and Safety at work policy, ensuring protective clothing is used properly at all times and appropriate practices and procedures, relevant to the work in hand are always followed and to further co-operate with the company by observing all Health and Safety rules and complying with any measures introduced to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
